The United States men's national soccer team is governed by the United States Soccer Federation and competes in men's international soccer. A FIFA affiliate member since 1914, the team joined CONCACAF as a founding member in 1961, replacing its previous regional confederation, NAFC, which had governed North American soccer from 1946.
