Shandong Taishan competes in the Chinese Super League, the top tier of Chinese football, playing home matches at Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium. Based in Jinan in Shandong province, the club has remained in the top flight since the league's foundation in 2004, one of only four clubs to achieve this. Shandong Electric Power Group Corporation, part of China's State Grid Corporation, is the majority shareholder.
