Rosario Central is an Argentine sports club based in Rosario, Santa Fe province, competing in the Argentine Primera División. Founded on 24 December 1889 by British railway workers, it takes its name from the Central Argentine Railway company. Among the oldest teams in Argentina and Latin America, the club represents one of the pioneer organisations in its hometown.
