FC Dallas is an American professional soccer club based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and competes in Major League Soccer's Western Conference. Founded in 1995 as the Dallas Burn, the franchise began playing in 1996 as an MLS charter club before adopting its current name in 2004.
