FC Carl Zeiss Jena is a German club founded in 1903 and based in Jena, Thuringia, initially associated with the optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss. From the 1960s to the 1980s, the club competed in East Germany's top tier. Since German reunification in 1990, it has operated in the second tier or below, currently playing in the Regionalliga Nordost as of the 2021–22 season.
