The Columbus Crew are a Major League Soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio, competing in the Eastern Conference. Founded in 1996 as one of MLS's 10 charter clubs, the Crew remain among the league's oldest franchises. The club is currently operated by an ownership group led by the Haslam family and former team physician Pete Edwards.
